With UNFOLDED SPACE, Enrico Bach opens the freshly renovated spaces of galerie burster, connecting the gallery’s architectural transformation with his artistic exploration of open pictorial spaces. His latest works engage with the spaces between perception, memory, and imagination. Voids and cut-out areas interrupt the closed picture plane, making the space in between part of the works themselves. In this way, Bach creates open spaces in which the visible and invisible, presence and absence, enter into dialogue.
Accompanying the exhibition is a catalogue documenting Bach’s artistic practice over the past five years and offering a deeper insight into the development of his work.
The exhibition will open as part of Gallery Day Karlsruhe. A get-together will follow from 7 pm under the Hirschbrücke.
