Im falschen Film explores the feeling of finding oneself in situations that do not feel right, as if being part of a story not made for you. Evelina Reiter depicts urban everyday scenes from a young female perspective, moving between observation, memory and intuition.

Her paintings are based on drawings made in daily life, which are also presented as independent works and offer insight into her artistic process. The works reveal how strongly personal experiences are shaped by social structures that assign roles and create uncertainty. Through humour and self-irony, her figures assert their own perspective and open up new ways of navigating visibility and space.
