My large-scale installations focus on diverse and simultaneously occurring emotional states and ambiguous, mixed feelings. I seek points of culmination in the logic of materials and collective imaginations. Since 2024, I have been working on an ongoing series of installations titled anhedonia. The term originates from clinical psychology and refers to the loss of the ability to feel joy.

Animals, as universal symbols of affection, are an essential part of my series of works. As (de-)personified projection surfaces, as faunal mediators, and as anthropomorphic figures, they take on a life of their own and, in turn, enact social situations: Gigantic butterflies occupy a hollowed-out space, perpetually grinning busts stare blankly, cat-like hybrid creatures deal in cans of chickpeas, give birth to new generations, and sit in electric cars.

Objects and motifs reappear in the installations, are transformed, and placed in new contexts. The installations form a continuous, open structure in which the past remains present and points toward the future. This serial interweaving and recontextualization is not only a method of my artistic practice but also an expression of a working method in which (additional) meaning arises from repetition, displacement, and reference.
